Orland Park Man Accused of DUI in Fatal Crash that Killed Nurse

Heidi Roseen, 51, of Lockport was the victim of a fatal crash early Sunday morning with a suspected drunk driver. Roseen, a nurse at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, was on her way to work when her vehcile was struck by a pick up truck. The driver, 25-year-old man, Matthew Senica, from Orland Park, is charged with DUI in connection with the crash.

Senica’s vehicle was allegedly traveling at least 60 mph when he ran a red light at the intersection of 95th Street and La Grange Road. He allegedly told authorities that he had been drinking since 5 p.m. on Saturday in Chicago. Senica was questioned at the sheriff’s police Maywood headquarters and charges were evaluated by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Felony Review Unit. He was taken into custody after being treated for minor injuries.
