The attorneys at The Davis Law Group, P.C. regularly represent individuals charged with DUI at the Richard J. Daley Center in Chicago. All of the misdemeanor DUI arrests made within the city limits of Chicago and O’Hare Airport are prosecuted on the fourth floor of 50 W. Washington Street in Chicago. The Chicago Police Department, Illinois State Police Troopers that patrol the various expressways that extend throughout Chicago, and various University Police Officers, all make arrests for misdemeanor driving under the influence offenses that are prosecuted at the Daley Center.

Municipal Village Prosecutors do not prosecute at the Daley Center as they do at other courthouses throughout Cook County. City of Chicago Corporate Counsel will prosecute at the Daley Center, but not for DUI offenses, or any other traffic matter that rises to misdemeanor level. All misdemeanor traffic offenses are handled by the State’s Attorney’s Office.

There are specific local rules that pertain to handling Daley Center DUI cases and an experienced attorney must be familiar with these specific procedures and customs to effectively represent the client charged with a DUI offense in Chicago. Often, a motion hearing or trial is required, and our office will regularly conduct these motion hearings and trials when appropriate. If your case is not suited for trial, our lawyers may achieve successful negotiations with the prosecutors at the Daley Center.
