With the exception of Northbrook, DUI matters at Skokie courthouse are prosecuted by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, which is led by an elected official, the Cook County State’s Attorney. Northbrook is the only village where a team of village prosecutors have been contracted by Northbrook to handle first and second offender DUI cases. All felony DUI charges are prosecuted by the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
